Unlike Ballmer’s desire to knock CES and say Microsoft needs to launch on their time frame, Vizio is happy to fire away and launch an attack directly at Apple. Vizio is planning to launch a series of Windows 7 computers during CES directly aimed at competing with Apple’s Mac.

For casual experience on the web I would say go with a tablet, specifically the iPad2 mentioned above. The netbook is good for the person who perhaps writes a lot, creates documents, emails like a fiend, maybe has to log onto virtual desktops or tunnel in to the corporate network.
